"We have sufficient egg production"
Afyon told reporters at the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce that they were making efforts to offer eggs to tables at the most affordable prices during Ramadan.
Afyon stated that they can easily meet the egg demands in world countries and claimed that eggs sent to different countries will not have an impact on the domestic market.
Afyon said that due to global developments, there is a shortage of eggs in some countries, while Turkey is exporting excess supply, and continued:
"We will be able to easily meet these demands in world countries. We can easily say that eggs sent to these countries will definitely not affect the domestic market. During the Ramadan period, when our people focus on shopping and a series of actions in order to supply eggs, which are indispensable for their kitchens, should not bring some opportunists to the forefront. We say that under the supervision of these inspectors, we do not have the opportunity to increase prices and that prices may fall to macro levels during periods when our supply increases. We can also say that our prices are macro right now. We have sufficient production for export, for the egg production industry and for our people. Our egg supply security is secure."
